Montreal’s Pete Philips debuts on You Plus One with ‘Echoes’, blending sci-fi soundscapes and retrofuturism into a mix of indie dance and melodic house and techno. Featuring his own vocals, the title track tells the relatable story of fleeting names attached to distant memories, with a style that recalls New Order and Depeche Mode with a modern twist. The multi-instrumentalist, who first emerged as Poe (CA), is joined by remixes from legendary techno duo Pig&Dan and You Plus One’s own Siavash, making this a versatile EP for any DJ’s set.
